We always have projects in development from micro shorts to features and everything in between. Here is a glimpse into what we are working on at the moment.
Majority - Short film
A small community rallies together to form a majority, enforcing intolerance and rousing fear among its residents.
Sonia Diaconescu is an immigrant, single mother and house warden in a sheltered accommodation unit. She tries to manage the site and the elderly residents who live there. Yet, they regard her with contempt and one of them has made an official complaint against her. While continuing to do her job and defending the rights of one of the residents Sonia finds herself facing a mob of angry, disheartened and indignant residents whose intolerance is palpable.
Majority is currently in post-production and will begin its festival run in late 2019.
Produced by Lauren Parker, written & directed by Tessa Hoffe. Supported by the BFI Network.
Wash Club - Feature
After a student falls from a campus building and is left in a coma, two precocious film students start an investigation into the fall. They connect the incident to a secret society that test their endurance by getting into tumble driers. In their attempts to uncover this ‘Wash Club’, they inadvertently create a conspiracy that takes on a life of it’s own and spirals beyond their control.
After the success of the Wash Club short, which had a successful festival run and received an online premiere with Short of the Week, not to mention a Vimeo Staff Pick. The team are expanding the tale for a feature length Wash Club.
in 2018, producer Lauren Parker was selected for the Edinburgh International Talent Lab with the Wash Club feature.
Produced by Lauren Parker, written by Ross Sutherland and directed by Simon Dymond.
